The luxury watch model A. Lange & Sohne underwent a re-beginning on December 1990 when Walter Lange registered the German model as soon as again. In the course of the war in Europe an aerial bombing raid destroyed the unique A. Lange & Sohne manufacture bringing to an end manufacturing for the luxury model for some time. The city of Glashutte being situated in East Germany came below Soviet management within the post war years. Walter Lange, grandson of Richard Lange had fled to the West however had not forgotten his homeland or his family's watchmaking tradition. When the whole reunification of Germany occurred, he made his method again to Glashutte and with a small number of employees started to develop the first A. Lange & Sohne watches of the brand new era.
In 2000 the luxury Richemont Group acquired the brand but the proud traditions of the A. Lange & Sohne brand and its uncompromising consideration to element still stay true today.
